Dan Drizlikh is an Austin-based composer, arranger, and transcriber creating original instrumental music for concert performance, visual media, games, and sheet music publication. His work spans solo piano, chamber ensembles, orchestral writing, electronic music, and soundtrack-style production.
Dan creates music that ranges from lyrical and reflective to dramatic, energetic, and atmospheric. His catalog includes solo and chamber works, electronic tracks, background/underscore music, and game-inspired pieces suitable for visual media and concert performance.
In addition to composing, Dan works as a music transcriber and arranger, preparing clean notation for piano, voice, and other instruments. His original compositions and arrangements are available through Musicnotes, Sheet Music Direct, and Sheet Music Plus.
Dan received his BM in Composition from the University of North Texas, College of Music, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He is the 2017 NFMC Glad Robinson Youse Adult Composers Contest winner and received the TFMC highest monetary award for the 2016 All State Festival Piano Concerto, Senior Class.
His main instruments are piano and alto saxophone. He works with FL Studio, Pro Tools, Reaper, Kontakt, Sibelius, Wwise, Max/MSP, and other audio and notation tools.
